Even if it is to a cat.

I’d like to know what the rest of the boo’s think.
Funny or Not Funny. If you’re a cat, I think you should fully disclose that information. I’m not 100% sure that you can be trusted.

This seems like a really bad day for Mr. Wompers.

We each wrote down a bunch of names we liked on a piece of paper (no cheating off each other) then crossed off everything on the other’s list that we didn’t like.  Narrowing the name down to only one name on each others list.

Everyone needs a middle name, so both names can be used.    Eventually, we had it.  The two names we chose were “Duncan” and “Lucas”.  Lucas was on my list.

We both liked each others final names and decided to make “Lucas” Mr. Boo’s  first name for the simple reason that dogs tend to respond better to names that end with the “S” sound.

This tiny puppy with the great big feet finally had a name – Lucas Duncan.

A few years later Lucas’ grandma brought a bouncing Bearded Collie into our extended fur family and named him Duncan.  Which is kind of strange because now Lucas has an uncle that’s named after him.  Duncan now has a younger brother named Trevor.  Not sure how that name was picked, but I think it’s fantastic!

It was April of 1996 when my heart was stolen from me.  A tiny brown doggy with giant tan feet is what I dragged out from under a dilapidated shed.  I brought him home, gave him a deeply needed bath and my heart ached from how much I already loved this little brown boy.  My husband and I named him Lucas.

When people ask what breed Lucas is, I always say he’s  an all American.  25% Husky, 25% German Shepherd and 50% Springer Spaniel.

Lucas fell in love with my childhood stuffed animal, Funny Bunny.  They were inseperable, until the day Lucas seperated Funny Bunny from all of his fur.
